MAKING ME HAPPY NOW

New highlighters for marking up my pregnancy books. A Caesar salad dressing from Whole Foods that doesn't contain raw eggs - I've had a salad for lunch two days in a row. The crib finally shipping, and being able to track its progress all the way from California. The fall TV season approaches. Walks after dinner with my wonderful husband that always seem to end up at Dunkin' Donuts (and no, it's not me leading us there).

TIGHT, WITH A SMALL BOW, PLEASE

You hear all the stories and typical ailments associated with pregnancy, but a lot of them you pass off as being old wives' tales. Like the one about not being able to tie your own shoelaces. I mean, I can still pick something off the ground by bending forward and not squatting down, I can still do planks and push-ups, so I would think I could still tie my own shoes. But, yesterday, I found out this isn't true. Normally, I don't even wear shoes that need to be tied - my workout shoes are slip on, but yesterday I busted out some sneakers to coordinate with the beautiful early fall weather we're having and I sat down on the bench to tie them and realized I couldn't. My belly made it too uncomfortable to be hunched over for any length of time, so Adrian had to tie my shoes. It makes me wonder what else is going to start happening this last month and a half. I refuse to squat.

STILL BABYMOONING

Okay, so we got back from our two-week trip to California, which was so great. It was both super fun and super relaxing at the same time. We had time enough at home to unpack and do some laundry before throwing it all back into a smaller suitcase and heading out to Atlantic City this afternoon. Adrian is trying his luck at the Borgata Poker Tournament and I'm going to relax by the pool and catch up on magazines. When we return on Friday, our babymooning officially comes to an end and we can start to nest. (Like I haven't already!)
