"YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS, BUT I..."

On a lark yesterday, I signed up for an audition for the daytime version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" Since I watch it every day that I can and I noticed that they are currently holding auditions at their studio in NYC, I figured that if they were holding auditions for the week that I was there, then I should go for it. I just got an email from them confirming my audition for Tuesday, July 5, as well as some forms to fill out. One of them is a bunch of questions that I will need to think deeply about...questions like "What will the audience find most compelling/interesting about you?" or "You won't believe this, but I..." or "I could be in the Guinness Book of World Records for..." Nothing too philosophical, but still. My life isn't that exciting, so if you can think of anything (that's at least marginally true), help a sista out. I might even make you a phone-a-friend.

WALK OF FAME

I might have mentioned before on this blog how every time I'm in New York, I expect to see a famous person and never do. And how disappointed this makes me. Well, this past weekend, Adrian and I visited his brother in Pasadena and one of the things we did as L.A. "tourists" was stroll the Hollywood Walk of Fame. There was a movie premiere going on and a crowd of people across from it, so we decided to join to see who we could see. Lo and behold - there was Robert Rodriguez (director of such movies as Spy Kids and Sin City), Quentin Tarantino, Kristin Davis (Sex and the City), David Arquette and Courteney Cox Arquette, and George Lopez. Then, to top it all off, we saw George Lopez again later that night, as he was a surprise performer at the comedy club we went to. Good stuff, right? I guess. I still want to see a celebrity next time I'm in New York.
